with Calcite Pseudomorphs That Fluoresce

Each specimen is at least 1"



Although fossil shell impressions and molds dominate the majority of this material, the specimens offered here have small portions of calcite pseudomorph s after fossil shells that are still adhering to the limestone matrix.  Additionally, in places, the calcite will weakly fluoresce under short wave light.

General information: Limestones are rocks that contain at least 50% calcium carbonate.
