Limestone (Fossiliferous) - 10 Pieces

Beaufort County, North Carolina 

Great for classroom use!

 Each of these 10 pieces will have at least one side that measures 3/4" in length. 

For each of the 10 pieces, a rough estimate of size is 3/4”+ x 1/2" x 1/4”. 

 

Material description: Fossil shell impressions and molds dominate this material.
Most all of the actual fossil shells and animal remains have long since been dissolved away.

General information: Limestones are rocks that contain at least 50% calcium carbonate.
