Marble

Metamorphic Rock Specimen

Arizona, USA

Specifications:  Each specimen is more than 1 inch on at least one side, and will come individually bagged and labeled with name and location of occurance.

Specific Description: Marble is a metamorphic rock that is most always evenly grained and has a "sugary" appearance on fresh breaks.  What you will receive in this offering is non-dolomitic marble that is fresh, fine-grained and mostly white with some light peachy orange shading.

Photography:  The pictures are representative of the quality and general size of the specimen you will receive.  None of the pieces pictured, will be the actual one you will receive, but will be from the same rock stock (outcrop or formation) your order will be filled from.  Additionally, while taking the representative pictures, a diligent effort was made to capture the material in both direct sunlight and shade.
